Encaustic Minis 2016

Series 3

These small encaustic paintings are done on 4×4 in. heavyweight illustration boards and each are mounted on a signed 6×6 acid-free matboard. The illustration boards are made of 100% cotton fiber, acid-free paper.

I used tar and gravel to get that deep black hue and remnants of old books for collage materials.
